Visa extension for foreigners married to Vietnamese people

Foreigners married to Vietnamese people can apply for a visit visa with a maximum term of 1 year for a visa and a maximum of 5 years for a temporary residence card.

Visa for visiting relatives with a Vietnamese husband or wife symbolized as TT.

When the visa expires, foreigners will continue to be sponsored by relatives in Vietnam to carry out visa extension procedures.

1. Conditions for foreigners with Vietnamese spouses to extend TT visa:

– The old visa is still valid and has a suitable purpose to convert to a TT visa

– Passport is still valid

– Registration of marriage

– Have a legal temporary residence address in Vietnam

– There is a guarantee from a Vietnamese spouse

2. Application for TT visa extension for foreigners married to Vietnamese:

– Marriage registration certificate or Marriage note of a foreigner with a Vietnamese citizen/ Family relationship certificate…..

– Original passport still valid for residence in Vietnam according to regulations.

– Citizen identification card of the spouse who is a Vietnamese citizen.

– Sample letter requesting visa extension according to the form of the NA5 Immigration Management Department
