Temporary residence card for relatives of workers and investors.

In order to create conditions for workers and investors to feel secure working and doing business in Vietnam, according to Vietnamese law, their spouses and children under 18 years of age are entitled to be granted temporary residence cards to to reside in Vietnam.

Agency issuing temporary residence cards for foreigners: Immigration Department or Immigration Management Department of provincial or city police.

1. Documents foreigners need to prepare for issuance of Vietnam temporary residence card

– Legal records of businesses and organizations sponsoring outsiders (Including copy of business registration, copy of seal sample certificate, copy of tax code registration, copy of seal sample registration and child registration form). sign);

– Foreigners’ passports must have a minimum validity of 06 months;

– Work permit (Investors do not need to provide it) – Certified copy

– Passport of the sponsor (spouse) –  Certified copy

– Temporary residence card of the sponsor (spouse) – – Certified copy

– Documents proving the relationship such as: Family book, marriage certificate, birth certificate – Certified copy, Vietnamese translation (consular legalized)

– Application form for issuance of Vietnam temporary residence card (NA7, NA8).

– Photo 2cmx3cm (02 pieces)

Other documents according to specific requirements of the Immigration Department (Such as rental contract, list of foreign workers…)

2. Temporary residence card application to visit relatives sponsored by a Vietnamese person over 18 years old:

The maximum duration of a temporary residence card is 3 years.

– Permanent residence book – notarized copy not older than 6 months

– Form NA7 – ward/commune police confirmation according to the guarantor’s address – no more than 03 months expired.

– Model NA8 – original

– 02 2×3 photos with white background, without glasses.

– Documents proving relationship

+ Vietnam issue – notarized copy not overdue 06 months

+ Foreign issued – Extracted and consular legalized, translated into Vietnamese
