- Cases where foreigners married to Vietnamese people can apply for visa extension:
– Foreigners holding a Vietnamese visa and temporarily residing in Vietnam according to the provisions of immigration law.
– Foreigners entering Vietnam under unilateral or bilateral visa exemption and are temporarily residing in Vietnam;
– Foreigners entering Vietnam with a visa exemption certificate and are temporarily residing in Vietnam.
- Application for visa extension for foreigners includes:
– Form NA5 Application form for visa issuance, visa, visa extension, extension of temporary residence for foreigners in Vietnam. The declaration is certified by the ward police where the foreigner resides
– Original passport valid for at least 06 months
– Authenticated copy of Marriage Registration Certificate or Marriage Note (If in a foreign language, consular legalization and translation are required).
– Original citizen identification card or passport of the spouse who is a Vietnamese citizen
- Where to submit an application for visa extension for married foreigners?
Applications for visa extension for marriage-based foreigners are submitted to the Immigration Department of the Police of the province or city of residence or the Immigration Department.
- Time to apply for visa extension: 05 working days from the date the application is complete and valid.
